Ugelod: a weekly draw for Danish charities
The question. Can a digital weekly lottery for Danish associations run legally, and would a free draw that gives charities consented leads work instead?
what I built
A multi-tenant lottery platform with subscription tickets, a random draw, onboarding and QR posters. Then a free version with signup, a cause chooser and a leaderboard per cause.

what happened
- Weekly digital draws turned out to need a certified random number generator, so the paid model was not possible as designed.
- The free version had a test of 500 players, 2 charities and 1 purchase, within a budget of 5,000 kroner. It never got real players.
- A bug meant real free signups could never win, while the public results showed draws over test tickets.
decision
Stopped. A trust product cannot show draws that nobody can win.
- Check the law before building, not after.
